Founded in 1970, Solomon+Bauer+Giambastiani Architects Inc is a full service firm. In addition to architectural design work the firm provides programming, planning and interior design services for both institutional and residential clients.
Led by two principals, the firm has earned a reputation for excellence in new and renovative projects, as well as for historic preservation work. Varying in type and size, the firm has experience working with a broad range of cultural, religious, and educational institutions nationwide. When appropriate, partnering arrangements are made with other architectural firms for projects of significant size or located elsewhere in the country.
In addition to its institutional work, Solomon+Bauer+Giambastiani continues to pursue a limited number of single family residential projects, undertaking the design of new houses and restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse of existing properties.
Conservation, research laboratory design and collections storage systems design have emerged as sub-specialties from the firm's considerable experience with museum work.
Variety of project type, complexity of technical requirements, and focus on design detail continue to be the hallmarks of our work. Complementing the firm's design and technical abilities are its skills in advising and working collaboratively with clients. By helping clients to identify and implement design goals, and by providing assistance and assurance throughout the design and construction processes, the firm has come to be highly regarded for its attentive, personal service.
Solomon+Bauer+Giambastiani has received many local, regional and national design awards, and its work has been published internationally. These accomplishments are the result of a firm wide commitment to quality and excellence.
