Designed in 1927 to house the Manter Hall preparatory school on the upper floors and retail space on the ground floor, this handsome 15,000 SF four story structure retains a good deal of its original fabric. Harvard Student Agencies, a student run business offering a variety of services and products to students and the public, purchased the building to house its offices, while leasing valuable street level retail space to other tenants. Renovations focused on conversion of existing classroom spaces to small open and closed offices, while preserving and enhancing the 1920s character of the space. On the exterior, building shell components, including retail storefronts, were restored to their original design.
