This large 1916 red brick structure with slate roofs was comprised of a large open garage area, adjacent shop and storage areas and a sleeping room and small bath. The building envelope was restored, including new slate roofs, restored cupola, wood windows, and rebuilt sliding wood paneled garage doors.
The interior masonry, steel trusses and wood paneling were cleaned and repaired and new lighting was added to accommodate future display of antique carriages.
The existing gabled end wing with divided rooms and small bath was renovated to house a single large efficiency unit for staff. New wood floors were added as well as a small kitchen.
