This 200-acre site was purchased because of its location and its beauty. The existing house, built in the 1950s, was inadequate to meet the space needs of a young, active family and unappealing in terms of aesthetics. Rather than raze and start anew, the approach chosen was to build a significant addition and renovate most of the existing house. The addition provides new living and dining areas on the ground level with a study, gallery/library, guest room, and sauna above.
