Designed by Delano and Aldrich in 1908, this 28,000 SF brick and limestone Georgian Revival style Berkshires mansion and grounds were carefully restored following a thoughtfully prepared master plan. The brick and limestone building envelope was cleaned and restored and the existing slate roof, copper dormers, flashing and skylights were all replaced. New HVAC systems were sensitively integrated at all levels as well as state of the art security, fire and A/V. Existing baths and their original early 20th century fittings were repaired and restored, as were all the original lighting fixtures.
A new semi-circular brick and granite terrace was added at the east side connecting existing axes and site lines to garden and other key building elements. The landscape and garden elements were restored, including ornamental stone structures, fountains, furniture and the elm allees flanking the large reflecting pool.
