Although well maintained over the years, this 10,000 SF Colonial Revival style residence was ready to be refreshed. Ongoing restoration, renovation and additions include new slate roofs, copper gutters, repointed brick and granite facades, restored interiors, a new garage and new site landscaping. On the interior, intricate wood paneling, plaster reliefs, ornate mantels and wood floors were restored or refinished. In many rooms, furniture and cabinetry were custom designed and built in. Complete interior design services were provided, involving the selection of antique oriental rugs and furniture, custom upholstered pieces, window treatments, new and restored lighting, extensive decorative paint finishes, art selection and accessories.
This project also included the sensitive addition of a stair chairlift utilizing a retrofitted winding back stairway connecting 4 levels, to make the house more accessible.
