The site for these two 1,800 SF vacation houses on the southern Massachusetts coast was divided lengthwise by the owners, long-time friends, and two new houses built. Programmatically different, the houses share similar forms and materials. The house at the rear of the site has its living space and master bedroom on the lower level with children’s bedrooms and a study/guest room above. The second house has children’s bedrooms on the ground level with living space and master bedroom above. In both houses, all rooms face Buzzard’s Bay.
