The site for this 2,700 SF house is a westward sloping meadow with a breathtaking view of the Berkshires. The building's major space faces toward the view with the bedrooms, kitchen, and study on two floors to the east. Given a site with a spectacular view to the west presented the classic dilemma of view versus sun control. The resolution is a deeply sculpted west facade which not only provides sun screening, but frames the view to the Berkshires as well.
